Open Game Studio (together with Ivana Spiroska)
(Open Graphic Studio, Museum of the City of Skopje, 2013)
Open Game Studio is an art project which correlates with the connection between games/toys and players. Concretely thе project appropriates about fifteen games/toys, which the artists remember as their childhood games, as well as the games of their generation. Probably as one of the last who remember analog games, before the massive appearance of computers and mobile phones, the authors through this project in a nostalgic way, are trying to remind the audience about the meaning of games about fifteen years ago, and what does it mean today.
The project Open Game Studio is a temporary transformation of The Open Graphic Studio, in a playroom and an open space for playing games. All of the objects will be available for the audience, to use them in the playroom. At the same time they’ll serve as an example for historic artifacts from a not so distant history and as a reminder for some of the most interesting games of the end of XX century.
The Open Game Studio is an extension of the collaboration between Ivana Spiroska and Darko Aleksovski, of which so far, they were presented together with works inspired by the relation of art, games/toys and the audience.
